Wild Autumn Gin has arrived

We are delighted that on 1st December the Glendalough Distillery, Ireland’s first craft distillery, launch their newest addition to their range of truly innovative seasonal gins ‘The Wild Autumn Botanical’. An outstanding new addition to the family using fresh botanicals foraged locally in the picturesque Glendalough countryside.

The Autumn gin is produced, as ever, with the guidance of local forager & botanist Geraldine Kavanagh.  Local seasonal botanicals are gathered and blended with six key gin botanicals — juniper, coriander, angelica root, orange peel, bitter almond and orris root. The foraged botanicals used in this expression are Juniper, Coriander, Fresh lemon peel, Angelica Root, Bitter Almond, Orris Root, Darred Malt, Nettle Watermint, Clover Flowers, Ground Ivy, Heather Flowers, Rosehip, Meadowsweet, Rosemary, Haws, Yarrow, Blackberries, Fraughan Berries, Damsons Sloes, Elderberries and Crab Apples.

On the nose Glendalough wild Autumn botanical gin is earthy and floral with underlying heather and berry notes. The gin is robust and powerful on the front with a smooth and rounded touch of sweetness to the fore and subtle hints of clover and spice. The finish is long and smooth with citrusand notes of juniper.
